The Team

Barn Hill Ecology Ltd was founded in May 2014 by Emma Grubb.

 

Emma has worked in ecological consultancy since 2008 - initally for an international multidisciplinary consultancy and most recently as an freelance ecologist.

 

Emma has a MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation from the University of Leeds and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).

 

Emma holds Natural England survey licences for bat (Class 4) and great crested newt and is a NPTC qualified tree climber.

Thomas is a Music Production graduate embarking on a career change in ecology and is combining employment with a part-time Diploma of Higher Education in Field and Conservation Ecology at Aberystwyth University.

 

Thomas is a NPTC qualifed tree climber and provides fieldwork and administrative support to lead surveyors.

 

Thomas holds a Natural England survey licence for great crested newt and is currently working towards his bat licence.

 

Thomas is a Qualifying Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
